Slovenia Trip -- Most awaiting trip ended with unfogatable experience

After long research and advices I decided to travel Slovenia by flight. Based on the timings and price i decided to go to Slovenia via Vienna (Austria). Maribor is the second largest city in the Slovenia which is 250KM from Vienna. I decided to take train this part of journey.

My Journey started from my office on 10th Nov 2010 evening 3 o'clock. It was raining and cold got a bus to Grenoble (from Crolls) after waiting for 15min. Reached Grenoble Victor Hugo and ran to Apartment with little shopping in between. Changed dress and took the luggage started to Grenoble Bus Station. It was raining ... Thought of taking taxi but did not find anything till i reached Bus Station. Luckyly I saw 4pm bus to lyon airport is on platform. I took the back and forth ticket and saw bus just left the Stand. It was not a miss i planed to take 4:30 bus. Point need to be noted here is "When you see bus on stand take ticket on bus dont stand on Q " .

The rain still picking up like my excitement... I took the bus and the journey to lyon is with full rain and thunders. Its storm ...

Reached Lyon Airport , check in with Automatic Check in machine and entered in to Security check. Oh Its second time for me ... I fogot to keep all the liquids outside bag so i rounded twice in the security check. I did not want to check in my pull man for this flight. I ate ice cold chicken sandwich ..closing my eyes. The airfrance flight at 7:39 pm touchdown the ground at vienna on tick 9:35.

Here I need to catch train to Vienna City Center. This is called CAT (City Airport Train) . The train starts from airport train terminal at 10:05 .... I just ran all the 30 min in Vienna Airport to catch the train. The train takes 16 minuits to reach city center....and its 9 euro . I bought the ticket online before starting.

I need to catch train REX1975 which is 28 min after reaching CAT station. I asked some people for this train station. First entered in metro station then came out and entered in right station. I did not took ticket for this train . I did not find ticket counter there are some wending machines for tickets. Hai i am in Austria its German here I started finding someone to help luckyly a girl taking tickets at one machine. I asked her help . Thank god she is speaking english. After I told everything to her we noticed all the systems are outof service. We rome around station and back to same point now its working. My train will come on platfrom no 3. She is Bosnian girl studing archeacture . we had discussion about archeacture in the world for 2 min then she got her train.

I saw my train name is mentioned on platfrom number 2 but on screen it is mentioned as 3 ... there is some train on platfrom 2. I asked ticket collector will it go to Mürzzuschlag.... He said YES.... I jumped in and train started....If i miss this train i dont have train till next day morning.
Its approximately 4 hour journey ..reached Mürzzuschlag at 00:40

One girl with the got down in the same station with the lagest bag in the world. From Mürzzuschlag i have to go to Graz. The next train is at 4:13 . She is french girl studing Germen economy in Austria ...was searching next train Graz.. I given her train details and I bought tickets for next two trains.

The four hours I spent in railway station where longest ever . It was cold .. In warm room i could not able to sleep ... Finally we took train to Graz at 4:13. This train reached Graz at 5:44. Two things surprised me here ... for using Toilet it costs 50 cents... A women working at McDonalds went to another store for breakfast.

I got into the Maribor (slovenia) train and sat in a place where a aged women is there.. She is math professor in Boston US. She told about Austria and formation of Slovenia the journey was so fast and reached Maribor at 7:39.

I need to catch train in 10 min to place called Poljcane. Bought tickets and took the train . This was the last train to reach my destination . I aksed my friend Nada to come to this station at 8:25. I did not contacted her any time during journey . My phone is not working. It was great excitement i am seeing her first time I really dont know if she gona come or not.

Finally train reached Polcjana . I got down on the platfrom . I waited till the train leave station . Actual station is other side of the train . I scanned the platform I did not find her... There is sun opposite to me where station is there... There are lot of people .. I am walking towards crossing between two platforms. I noticed a women in pink jacket with glasses. I thought she is nada waved my hand ...She did same ... I just went to her ...It was really nice experiecne seeing someone known first time.

McDonalds.....take it easy

I been to McDonalds right across my street. I never seen such empty McDonalds in India....And whome ever i saw in McDonalds are french, I think french people dont like amarican food especially fast food. I see lot of people who eat outside are eating at small cafes....I have not seen much street food. Thts the french i believe ...

Cycling.....in Grenoble

You will see lot of cycles every where in Grenoble. The city seems to be plane , no ups and downs ... People of all ages uses cycles.... Some of the public transports like buses and trams allow cycles inside if space permits.

People rent cycles at Rail Station and in Bus Station for one or two days.

I heard one of the employee in my company has bicycle ... can you guess its price .... 2000 euros... I must see it

I thought of buying one but it will no thelp after 15 days to 1 month once the winter starts.

Weekend Market

Today Morning I went to Weekend Market ..My friends told me about it yesterday, I thought it would be like bunch of people selling stuff...
But after being there it was different experience... Vegitables,fruits,pickels,wine,flowers,cheese what not .

I walkted till the end and prepared what to buy. I found little shop where I got the stuff i need. After few shops i Bought some fruits. There is absolutely no bargain. The price is shoed on every item.

I wonder how many of us buy flowers every weekend for home (not for other pupose ;-))

I really felt bad not having camera with me . Next weekend i must take.

French cousin

In office we have two cafeterias people call it as big and small one. First day i carried Visiter badge for visiters the lunch is free. So I been to Big Cafeteria ...Its like a big buffet in a five star hotel . every desert every dish is elegantly served. I think i had expensive lunch there. Which is free for me .

From The second day I am started going to the small cafeteria with the team I am workng.
I recharged my account with 20 euros.

I need to start cooking and need to take boxx to office :-)

Love at first sight.....

The travel from Lyon Airport to Grenoble is nice ... the sun is bright and corn farms are very europe...May be this is not the best of europe but certainly best for my eyes.
Entered in to the city and it was simply great. Old buildings narrow roads .. and people are on all kinds of transport ... pedestrians , Cars, Bikers , Skaters ...

The travel from Grenoble to crolles is also very nice .. i never seen clounds touching ground ...

Take off.....

At last got work permit visa for France and tickets are booked and ready to fly...

I been to jet airways counter and checked in the baggage and came to know that my name is not there in flight list ... for 6pm jet-airways to mumbai... given my PNR and the lady at the counter called to someone and came to know my ticket is booked in 8:45pm flight. I requested them to change my travel in 6 pm flight and went through the gates....of Hyderabad airport.

I think its wonder the flight landed in mumbai on time... there usually lot of traffic in mumbai.., then reached at the mumbai international terminal and waited for Immigration ...boarded flight at 1:50am .

Had idly sambar before landing in Brussels, Belgium I have only one hour time in transit ... there was big line at security check i ran like hugo in LOST... at last got the flight.

Landed in Grenoble at 10:30 ... collected luggage and took ticket to grenoble.
